Getting started¶
The first hour of Quantimium, from the first strange ore to your first crafter.
1. Unrealised Ore¶
Some ore in the world is not quite real.
Unrealised Ore looks like ordinary stone or
deepslate ore until you mine it, and it drops
Unrealised Matter: loot that has not yet
decided what it is. Fortune gives more; Silk Touch keeps the ore itself, which machines take as Matter too.
With GuideME installed, a Book and one Unrealised Matter make the Quantimium Field Guide: this wiki, in the game.
2. Observing it¶
An
Observation Chamber collapses Unrealised Matter into ordinary items. Now and then it
leaves behind
Quantimium Trace, the residue of measurement and the mod's first real
material. Later, mites killed in the mirror leave Traces
too.
3. The first machines¶
Flux Meter: reads the flux and anomaly of the chunk you stand in.
Make one early.
Basic Decoherence Matrix: an ender eye held in four Traces, and the heart of the
Basic Quantum Crafter, which runs table, furnace and stonecutter recipes.
Flux Detector: turns your chunk's band into a redstone signal.
4. Power and the field¶
From here machines run on FE. Every craft adds flux to the
chunks around it, and anomaly follows. The
Quantum Exciter raises flux when you need a
higher band. The
Basic Anomaly Siphon keeps anomaly down round a small workshop and
turns what it pulls into
Anomaly Fragmentss. The
Flux Suppressor holds flux
down where you want none: a firebreak round a hot base, or near a rift.
5. What comes next¶
The
Quantum Crafter and
Quantum Simulator take over your crafting. Anomalite
crystals start growing on your machines once anomaly runs Medium (a few; more at High), and they are both a hazard and a
resource. Then come the Quantum Foundry, the
mirror, rifts, and
the Veiled. At the end of it all stands the
Quantimium Reactor.
